Mijn Host Dynamic DNS
A cli program to update a server's ip to mijn.host dns in time intervals. GPL-3.0-or-later https://hub.docker.com/r/mathiasbevers/mijn-host-ddns
Usage
Unless the initial configuration fails, the program will run continuesly. It is recommended to run it in a docker container with the compose.yaml. The set and forget way is to create a directory with a compose.yaml file and paste in the following:
services:
mijnhostddns:
container_name: mijn-host-ddns
volumes:
- ./mijnhost.conf:/app/mijnhost.conf
image: mathiasbevers/mijn-host-ddns
This will pull the lastest image from the docker hub. This will require a file with the name mijnhost.conf in the same directory. The config file is used to provide the program with the required unique information.
Configuration
The mijnhost.conf is used to provide the required unique information to the program, it needs to be in to same directory as the execuatble or bound to the docker container as shown in the example above. To get started copy paste the code snippet below in the mijnhost.conf.
# Enter your domain name.
DomainName = "your-domain.com"
# Enter your API key.
ApiKey = "0123456789abcdef9876543210fedcba"
# Enter the record name that needs to be updated, it can be empty to edit the root dns record.
RecordName = "ddns"
# Enter interval between runs in seconds 9000=2.5h, the value of 0 will run only once.
InEervalInSeconds = 9000
Building from source
Clone this repository and run the docker file or using the dotnet cli, if you are building from source I am sure you can figure this out ;). If not feel free to open an issue! Do make sure to create a mijnhost.conf in the src directory since it is required and by default ignored to prevent accidental API key leaks.
